Installed my new speedo cable today. It wasn’t as hard as I had been led to believe. Speedo is much more accurate, but still floaty once you hit 40-50mph. I met a guy who’s selling Ghia gauges for $5 a pop, so I’m going to stock up and hope I find something good.

Haven’t gotten the bumper or heater cables installed yet. I need to either dismantle the bumper to remove the bracket covers or get new cover seals. And I need the wire clip for the passenger side heater cable, as well as silicone grease before I drop those in.

I should be getting new points and plugwires this week, which should help with my idle/ignition problems. I’ll swap my spare generator in as soon as I get the massive socket needed to remove the fan, and I’ll probably break down and rebuild my carb, too.

Should be running smooth after all that.
