My patch implementing mime_content_type() for PEAR::PHP_Compat was accepted. Expect it in the next version, at which time I can rip the autodetect() code out of PEAR::MIME_Type. It never should have gone in there in the first place.

Brief iPod update

Digging it completely. I held a 60gb 5G iPod at the Apple store. I’m really glad I went with the 30gb model. The 30gb strikes a perfect thickness/weight balance; the 60gb feels bulky in comparison.

After waiting entirely too long, my 5G iPod arrived today. This thing is sexy. It’s incredibly slim, sleek, and black. And the screen is gorgeous.
