Via Slashdot, phishers are using valid SSL certificates. SSL isn’t particularly strong crypto, and much of it’s value proposition comes from the fact that the issuers do some checking to make sure the applicant is who they say they are.

Carb adapter is here

Well, ACN found a the adapter I need to get my carb to clear the new alternator, and it arrived today.
With a bit of luck, the Ghia will be running again by Monday.

I just read this piece on bad design. It’s an interesting read, but I think it lacks some historical context. Andy faults Google’s design as “unremarkable and poorly laid out.” I agree that it contains a lot of design afterthoughts, but I attribute that to their incredible growth over the last few years.
