Monday, it was with no small measure of displeasure that I noticed the strip on the East end of Pine Street had mysteriously been converted to a bus stop. Prior to this, it offered inter-trip resting space for no less than three automobiles. What, I ask, sort of devilry is this? Was Pride this year merely a distraction to whisk our beloved street parking out from under our noses? What sort of government contractor finishes a job in one weekend? Is this some sort of underhanded plot by the owners of the pay parking lot directly adjacent to this strip? I do not know.

In other news, I am unilaterally declaring “yak” to be the funniest word in the English language.
