When I first started writing this blog, I made a rule. This would be about matters technical, a repository for knowledge. I would write about the things I was interested in, and the things I was learning. I would not create a blog devoted to my life, and it’s goings on. The world has enough of those, and I wanted to make something people would find useful and interesting, even if they didn’t know me. Such a blog would be pointless; a LiveJournal with only one person writing.
I think I’ve been successful to date. However, it’s now time for an exception to this rule.
My name is Ian Eure. I’m twenty-eight, and live in Seattle, Washington. I’m a programmer; it’s been my career for nearly a decade now. I’ve always been fascinated by computers and electronics. I own a company, Buster Marx, Inc.

This is my wife, Keren. She’s twenty-one. We were married on July 27th, 2007, in the King County courthouse. She’s an artist; clay is her preferred medium. She is able to effortlessly produce detailed objects from clay. When I register my amazement, her answer is always the same: “It’s not that hard.” She is talented with other mediums, as well. Lately, she has been quilting.

This is our daughter, Keagan. She was born October 5th, 2006. She started walking about a month ago. She has eight teeth, and a vocabulary of around a dozen words. She loves being read to; her favorite book is “There’s A Wocket in My Pocket.” She will grab the book, crawl (or toddle) over, throw it on your lap, and demand that you read it to her.
