Carb adapter is here

Well, ACN found a the adapter I need to get my carb to clear the new alternator, and it arrived today.
With a bit of luck, the Ghia will be running again by Monday.

In no particular order:

New clutch, cover, and throwout bearing. This was easy as pie, partly because the newer trans necessitated converting to a newer style clutch cover, which didn’t require the delicate alignment the old style did.

Well, I was poking around The Samba‘a classifieds, and I found a transmission from a wrecked Ghia for $75, plus two clutches for $20. I called the seller, and he’s going to drop them by on Monday for $5. So $100, and I have nearly everything I need to get my drivetrain in good shape. [...]
